Artist's Comments
It's been a long time since I posted any art here. I have tried to draw several times, but inspiration would not come. Then I saw this picture of a character in an upcoming Tales-game and that hair gave me enough inspiration to wanna draw. (I know it sounds weird, but it's usually small things that light the spark in me.) With that hair in mind, this picture came to life.
I pretty much new what I wanted to do from the beginning, but the background developed on its own. First I thought of having some kind of leaves in the back but then since the theme is red I thought that it would be cool to have big drops of blood hanging from the wall behind her. Hence the name "Bloody Mary". Sometimes I think I'm so clever.  (Relax, it's a joke.  )This took me approx 2 hours (it felt longer) and I used 8 layers. As usual this was done in my favorite program Painter IX with my Wacom Intuos 2. I hope you enjoy this, personally I think it's cool.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
